🛡️ ROLLEN & RECHTE🛡️ ROLES & PERMISSIONS

Decide which team sees which tickets and who may close or claim them.

  • Anyone who can see the panel channel can open tickets. The roles in the editor are the support roles – not the roles of the members who open tickets.
  • Who may open tickets is controlled in Discord with the permissions of the panel channel: whoever cannot see it cannot click.
  • New roles can neither close nor claim at first. Tick “Close Tickets” and “Claim Tickets”.
  • The /ticket commands – adding and removing members, saving a transcript, deleting without a transcript – have ticks of their own. They are off for new roles, too.
  • The roles you add are mentioned when a ticket is opened – as long as “Ping moderator on open” is on in step 2 (the default).
  • Server owners and admins, too, need a role in the panel with these ticks to close or claim tickets with the buttons.

You add the support roles in step 5 of the panel editor (“Roles Handler”).

  1. Click “Add Role”. In the dialog (currently in German) you can search by name or ID. @everyone and bot roles are not offered.
  2. Click the role on the left to open its settings.
  3. Set the access and the permissions (see below).
Support roles in the Roles Handler
The added roles on the left, the settings of the selected role in the middle, the summary on the right.
  • Up to 50 roles are possible per panel.
  • The ✕ removes a role after a confirmation.
  • If a role was deleted in Discord, the editor marks it in red with “Rolle existiert in Discord nicht mehr” (role no longer exists in Discord). Remove it, otherwise the panel cannot be saved.

ZUGRIFF AUF INTERAKTIONENACCESS TO INTERACTIONS

This decides which tickets a role is responsible for:

  • All Interactions (default): the role sees all tickets of this panel.
  • Specific Interactions: the role only sees tickets that were opened with the ticked buttons or options. Example: race control only handles “🚨 Report”, the support team handles everything.

This also applies to the ping on opening, to closing and claiming and to the /ticket commands: a role with “Specific Interactions” is only mentioned for its own tickets and can only close, claim or manage those with the commands.

💡

Good to know: if you switch back to “All Interactions”, the editor discards the selection. If a role with “Specific Interactions” has no interaction left – for example because the buttons were deleted – it gets no access to new tickets.

Tip: add your admin or moderator role to the panel with “Close Tickets” and “Claim Tickets”. Then your staff can finish any ticket, even without a support role.

When permissions apply

  • Access to the channel is set when the ticket is opened. Later changes to the roles in the panel do not change existing ticket channels. You bring individual members in with /ticket add and take them out again with /ticket remove. Everything else you adjust by hand in Discord.
  • Closing, claiming and the /ticket commands are checked at the moment of the click or command – against the panel's current settings. So if you remove a role from the panel, its members still see open tickets but can no longer close them.
⚠️

Without a support role: if a panel has no role, only the creator (and Discord admins) can see the ticket. Closing, claiming and the /ticket commands are then only available to members with the Discord permission “Manage Channels” – plus closing for the creator if “Creator can close ticket” is on. Always add at least one role with “Close Tickets” and “Claim Tickets”.

WER DAS DASHBOARD NUTZEN KANNWHO CAN USE THE DASHBOARD

  • A server's pages in the dashboard – ticket system, panel editor and transcripts – can only be opened by the server owner and members with the Discord permission “Administrator”.
  • “Manage Server” or other moderation rights are not enough. Support roles do not get dashboard access through the ticket system.
  • If you have just changed permissions in Discord, it can take up to five minutes until the dashboard picks them up.
